Behavior Calls

Chautauqua is a feral mom who gave birth to kittens in our home. My husband and I helped socialize her before returning Chautauqua to her caretaker. She has since become friendly with her caretaker and spends most of her time in her caretaker’s home, where she enjoys playing and having her belly rubbed.

Small cat behavior problems can often have a big impact on our daily lives. I understand the frustrations you might face when dealing with issues like chewing, scratching, or other minor challenges. As a dedicated cat behavior consultant, I’m here to lend a helping hand in a one-hour call. I will offer personalized advice and proven techniques to transform your cat’s behavior and strengthen your bond.

My Behavior Calls include:

  • Review of paperwork
  • 50-minute virtual (Zoom) call
  • Short list of recommendations and resources
  • Behavior plan summary for your vet

FAQ

Why should I hire you?

As a certified behavior cat consultant and trainer, I work exclusively with cats, providing expert guidance for various behavior challenges. Whether you’re dealing with minor issues or seeking help with basic care, carrier usage, manners, or agility training, my one-hour call is tailored to address your specific needs. For more extensive assistance, my behavior packages go beyond behavior plans, featuring multiple check-ins and collaboration with other cat behavior consultants to guarantee lasting results. Partner with me to nurture essential skills, strengthen bonds, and create a more fulfilling life with your feline companion.

Do you guarantee your services?

My consultations use research-based methods, but the success of a case depends on numerous factors, and sometimes a home will not be the right fit for the cat. I do guarantee that after we’re finished working together, you’ll have a better understanding of your cat’s behavior, and we’ll have reached a resolution.

Why do I have to fill out a Questionnaire?

Just like doctors and veterinarians will ask you to fill out a questionnaire before they will see you, I also need information about your cat before I can proceed. The Questionnaire will provide me with a more complete picture by asking about your cat’s background, personality, environment, behavior history, enrichment, and more.

Why should I train my cats?

Training helps prevent unwanted behaviors and encourages desired behaviors. It also provides your cat with mental and physical enrichment, which is good for their over all health. Training improves your ability to communicate with your cat, which can help create a more satisfying relationship with your cat. Last but not least, training can be fun!
